Happy Birthday to me!  Yes it's my birthday today, this is 61!

How's the last few days been?

With the weather turning warmer here it's been lovely to wear some summer clothes.  I've taken full advantage of the sunshine by wearing some little Tee shirts and have picked up a little bit of colour!  The only problem is my legs are still a pasty white.  I need to get my usual tanning mousse - St Moriz which I love. It’s easy to use and is streak free and I’ve spoken about it on here before. They also have a face tanning spray which I swear by! I just give a couple of sprays on top of my makeup before I go out, it slowly builds up a nice healthy glow. X

I’ve got a cute little sun dress to share with you today. It’s a perfect style for summer holidays, or weekends away when a leisurely walk around the town or by the beach when this beautiful dress will be raising eyebrows and claim lots of charming comments.

This has to take top marks for being a good all rounder dress. You can wear this beauty on your summer holiday when a wander down the beach in the evening is on the cards, or maybe this could be your ‘go-to’ wedding outfit worn with heels for a family wedding. But this versatile midi will look super with flat flip flops for a summer BBQ with friends - the choices are endless!

For most occasions I like to dress an outfit up by putting my own personal stamp on it. Maybe a statement necklace, or a matching bag and I always pick noticeable earrings to finish it off!  

Most of my favourite earrings have a sentimental value to them and if I've been given a pair for a special occasion they mean the world to me. David gave me a stunning pair of drop pearls for our 40th wedding anniversary, he also gave me a pair of Cubic Zirconia diamonds for my birthday just before we got married, nearly 40 years ago. I was mortified when I lost one a few years later, when it got caught in my hair.  I've seen some earrings recently that are a brilliant style that would stop any chance of losing them. Step forward the dangly threader drop earrings. Now this is a style that won't let you down.  There's no chance of losing them.  The chain runs through your ear piercing and then hangs down, you can choose to have the pretty gem on the front or the back depending on what look you prefer.  This stylish design would look delightful for a bride when a dainty chain precedes a stunning diamond! Which gets me thinking ... it's my birthday today ... I wonder!

So with plenty of earrings to choose from I like to keep them safe so have them all in one place in a plastic container which has little sections in it - making it so much easier to find what I want, when I want!

Let's talk some more about this stylish maxi dress * from Izabel London. It's covered in a tropical print that screams hot weather.  It's a soft fabric that will feel delightful in the heat when it's warm and sticky & the thin straps which are adjustable will show off a nice tan (when I get it) Lol. There's a comfy elasticated smock detail on the back which keeps everything in place and the A line skirt swishes and sways about in such a sassy way. It's also got pockets!  We all love pockets don't we!

I picked a sturdy block heel. These sandals (similar) were part of my wedding guest outfit a couple of years ago and I still marvel at how comfy they are - you can see me spinning and turning in them over on my IG account too.
